Al Qaeda’s Lawyers Are Now In The US Justice Department
Chosen by Barack Obama to lead the Justice Department, Eric Holder tells reporters in Chicago, “We can and we must ensure that the American people remain secure.” By Scott Olson, Getty ImagesWould most Americans want to know if the Justice Department had hired a bunch of mob lawyers and put them in charge of mob cases? Or a group of drug cartel lawyers and put them in charge of drug cases? Would they want their elected representatives to find out who these lawyers were, which mob bosses and drug lords they had worked for, and what roles they were now playing at the Justice Department? Of course they would — and rightly so.

A dwindling legislative calendar and Republican momentum going into the November elections [...]
Obama’s offensive may not charm business or GOP

President Barack Obama’s economic offensive may not charm business or Republicans. The president’s plans to spend $50 billion on roads and railways and grant businesses $300 billion of investment tax credits have merit. But they don’t look enough to sway a disillusioned corporate America already wondering about the fate of $4 trillion in soon-to-expire tax [...]

On Wednesday, President Barack Obama plans to announce his latest package of plans to stimulate the sagging U.S. economy, most of which are already known. It was hardly a surprise to see Republicans quickly positioning themselves to block the plans, but more disappointing to the White House must have been the cautious response even from [...]

By Stanley Kutler “It is time to turn the page,” President Barack Obama said as he announced the “end” of combat operations in Iraq. Sadly, the president neither confronted nor repudiated [...]

FBI agents. Just how many FBI agents do you think there are, man? Less than 1500 I think… and that's ALL of them.
War… It's the military's job. I think the Justice Dept is involved to the degree of advising on and facilitating civilian law enforcement.
Civilians running the war. That's why Vietnam is communist.

Put it this way, if you believe the Justice Department or Michigan authorities will prosecute the passengers, there is a bridge for sale. No way in hell it happens (no grand jury or judge in the country will allow such a charge to proceed); there is precedent where this has happened before, and no charges were filed; any attempt to file charges will be met with self-defense claims.
As for hate crime, what hate crime? Once the terrorist threatened to blow up the plane, he forfeited all rights right there, and anything else is in self-defense.
If you believe that what Eric Holder thinks is in your original question, you're wrong. The question should be dismissed out of hand, because the idea that it could happen is so far out there as to not even be funny.
