Robert Pattinson Seen Crackin A Grin With Another Lady In Houston,TX
Sep 11th

Robert Pattinson seen crackin a grin with another lady in Houston,TX. “Twilight Saga” superstar Robert Pattinson was spotted roaming the Texas area again the other night in Houston,TX. Robert cracked a slight grin as he posed with an older female fan. According to sources, he was spotted in Houston this past Wednesday night in the downtown area of the city.
He reportedly hung out with fans there, and took the time to take photos. Also, his musician friend Sam Bradley started playing an impromptu set,and Robert joined him on the guitar while sitting on a Dracula pinball machine. They did an acoustic version of the song “No Diggity.” It’s reported that Robert Pattinson will be headed to New Orleans, next, where his “Twilight Saga” co-star Kristen Stewart is filming her new provocative flick, “On The Road.”
I’m betting he’ll be paying her a visit, seeing as how he went all the way to Canada a couple weeks ago to visit her when she was filming over there. Robert’s Texas visits included Lubbock and Austin. He also hit up New Mexico. Both Rob and Kristen are do on the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” movie set this November. Follow us on Facebook for more Robert Pattinson news, and more by Clicking Here. Twilight’s Taylor Lautner Spotted Filming New Movie In Pittsburgh,PA
Sep 11th

Twilight’s Taylor Lautner spotted filming new movie in Pittsburgh,PA. “Twilight Saga,” werewolf star Taylor Lautner was spotted out in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania a few weeks ago, hard at work, filming his new movie entitled, “Abduction.” The image isn’t as clear as it could be because they were taken by a fan,but still, they’re alright.
Taylor looked to be all business on the set while chatting with the other crew members. In one of the photos, he was also spotted smiling and having a good time. According to sources, he was filming scenes at the PNC Baseball Park in Pittsburgh. The scenes were filmed at an actual game, which will appear in the “Abduction” movie. So, that sounds pretty cool.
“Abduction” doesn’t currently have a release date, but it will show Taylor Lautner playing a young guy who will discover that the parents who raised him aren’t his real folks, and it will triggers events that leave him running for his life. Next, Taylor will be reporting for “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” filming duties this November. Follow us on Facebook for more celebrity, entertainment news, and more by Clicking Here. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Back in Theaters for Bella Swan’s Birthday
Sep 11th
Just like a good Cullen, Twilight Saga: Eclipse, that precocious record-breaker, isn’t ready to die. The fantasy film will return to theaters for a very special birthday. Whose? Why Bella Swan’s, of course. Fictional characters have birthdays, too, and Bella’s is this coming Monday, September 13th. To celebrate, it’ll be showing all weekend. Don’t worry, [...]
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse gets a DVD release date
Sep 11th

Today, a number of movie theaters around the country are taking part in an Eclipse re-release, in honor of Bella’s birthday on Monday. I’m sure many fans will be there, party hats and all, but I think I have to wash my hair… What a shame. There is some news I AM glad to hear though. The third installment of teen vampire angst has a DVD/Blu-Ray release date!
While I may not be the type to show up at Bella’s birthday party, I did enjoy the movie and would love to see some behind the scenes features. Lucky for me, I’ll be able to do just that on December 4th! Though it will miss out on all the Black Friday craziness, the movie will make it out in time to be on nearly every teen girl’s holiday wish-list.
The economy may take a toll on some gift spending this year, but fret not because Summit is releasing both a single-disc edition and two-disc special feature edition. The two-disc option will feature:
- Commentary tracks from Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Stephenie Meyer
- Deleted & extended scenes
- Photo gallery
- Music video
- Six-part behind-the-scenes making-of documentary
That works around to nearly three hours of extra undead goodness! Start saving your money, writing that wish-list, and buttering up to your pals because you’ll want this movie on your shelf at home.
Robert Pattinson Jealous Of Kristen Stewart’s Friendship With Tom Sturridge
Sep 11th
According to reports, Robert Pattinson is jealous over Kristen Stewart’s relationship with his best friend, Tom Sturridge.
Pals reveal that Kristen and Tom were once at odds over Rob’s attention, but Rob smoothed it over between them and now he might be regretting that.
A snitch said, “But Rob intervened and helped make peace between the two – a move he may now regret.”
While Rob was busy filming his movie Water For Elephants, Kristen kept busy by spending some quality time with Tom. Rob was angry over a night out between the two when they went to the Troubador Nightclub.
A source said, “Kristen’s telling friends that she’s falling for Tom, as he has all of Rob’s great qualities without the baggage: Rob’s fear of commitment and the intense scrutiny their relationship brings.”
Uh oh! Sounds like trouble in paradise!
Is WordPress Turning Into Tumblr?
Sep 11th
After borrowing Tumblr’s reblog feature, like feature and launching audio blogging to the masses, it looks like Automattic’s goal is to transform the WP.com community into a larger version of Tumblr.
At least it did today after WordPress announced their latest feature, dubbed “subscriptions.”
[T]oday we’re introducing a new subscriptions feature to WordPress.com. Subscriptions are an easy way to track and read posts across multiple blogs, all in once place. [...]
Let’s say you’re reading a blog on WordPress.com that you really enjoy — so much so you want to be notified when new posts are published so you remember to read them. You can subscribe to this blog really easily by using the “Subscribe” menu in the admin bar. By going up to your admin bar, and clicking “Subscribe to blog”, you’ll be instantly subscribed and all current and future posts will be added to the subscriptions tab on your WordPress.com home screen. (Official WordPress Blog)
This new feature looks eerily close to Tumblr’s “follow” feature, the latter who also displays blogs you follow within your dashboard.
While Tumblr isn’t completely innocent (after all they did steal Automattic’s mass post editor idea), it seems as if WordPress is attempting to avoid the same fate as Typepad who was recently eclipsed by its micro blogging rival.
Currently the only major difference between the two (from a non-geek’s perspective) is that Tumblr offers users free video uploading (albeit capped at 100 mb daily) while WordPress charges $60/year to experience video bliss.
Although its understandable why Automattic would incorporate this feature (as RSS has yet to become a mainstream affair), it does make one wonder if WordPress is secretly in love with Tumblr or secretly afraid of them (lets hope the former).
Bloglines Is Dead, Accuses Twitter Of Murdering It
Sep 11th
After popularizing online feed readers, it looks as if IAC (owners of Ask.com) are permanently shutting down Bloglines apparently due to lack of interest.
However what’s surprising is that it was not a rival like Google Reader who killed off Bloglines, but rather a Xoogler (aka ex-Googler) whose social network made Bloglines obsolete.
It’s finally happened. Bloglines,
the troubled RSS feed reader owned by IAC, will officially be shut down, the company has told TechCrunch exclusively. The site has had a tumultuous history, so it’s unsurprising that IAC has finally put the platform out of its misery. [...]
Doug Leeds
, President of Ask.com tells us that the reasoning behind closing Bloglines came down to the fact that the market for people who use Bloglines (and RSS readers, he adds) isn’t growing, and is actually shrinking as people shift to realtime news streams such as Twitter to consume content on the web. (via TechCrunch)
IAC plans on shutting down the server on October 1st, although they have yet to release an official announcement to their users (at least the ones who have not yet defected to Google Reader).
While it’s easy to blame Twitter for the death of their once glorious feed reader, the real killer is not Twitter but Google, whose entrance into the RSS reader market has disrupted the entire industry (as gReader is free of cost and ads).
With Bloglines calling it quits, RSS addicts will probably have very few options available outside of Google and the desktop (although the former will probably capitalize on Bloglines demise once IAC makes a formal announcement).
Automattic Sets WordPress Free (Trademark)
Sep 11th
After holding a monopoly upon one of the most recognized symbols of blogging, Automattic has finally transferred ownership of the WordPress trademark to the the WordPress foundation.
We are pleased to announce that Automattichas made a remarkable and generous donation by transferring ownership of the WordPress trademark to the WordPress Foundation. We’re honored to accept this donation, and to preserve and protect the trademark in the years ahead as a keystone part of the Foundation’s mission to ensure that WordPress is around and thrives for generations to come.
It is highly unusual (to say the least) for a company to give away a trademark worth millions, and this move by Automattic is extremely generous and community-minded. (WordPress Foundation)
Securing the WordPress trademark will help ease some of the fears many had about Automattic, and may also give the WordPress Foundation some much needed authority.
It will also make it easier to enforce the rules regarding use of the trademark which currently forbid for profit companies from using “WordPress” within their respective name (with the exception being Automattic who is Grandfathered in).
While this news will probably not affect most bloggers (at least those who are not into the technicalities or legalities of business), it will probably help secure WordPress’s founder (Matt Mullenweg) legacy for years to come.
Facebook Overtakes Google But It’s A Close, Interesting Race
Sep 11th
Facebook has officially become the number one online destination among American’s according to a report released this week by web analytics monitoring firm comScore.
According to the report, Facebook users spent 41.1 million minutes on Facebook in August, while Google logged 39.8 million hours. Yahoo came in third place, with a still decent 37.7 millions spent on site.
Google on the other hand can rest relieved, knowing they passed the 1 billion global users mark in that same month, making them the most popular search destination in the world.
Breaking down “time spent on-site” numbers, Informationweek says:
“Americans spent about 9.9% of their online time visiting Facebook, comScore said, vs. 9.6% of time on Google’s sites, including Gmail, Google search and YouTube. Web surfers in the United States spent approximately 9.1% of their Internet time visiting Yahoo properties”
It should however be noted that their is room for a margin of error considering comScore monitors just 2 million worldwide users and each websites’ servers to reach their number, however comScore is typically a trusted source for such statistcs.
The Facebook uptick in time spent on site comes just a few months (July) after they passed Yahoo as the number 2 destination.
While the numbers are impressive, they still say nothing about the monetization efforts of Google vs. Facebook. For example, a whole lot of Google searches can be completed in that amount of time, whereas Facebook users spend their time between chatting with friends, playing social media games such as Farmville and performing various other tasks that keep them on the Facebook site, but not necessarily clicking on ads and generating immediate revenue for Facebook.
It would be interesting to see how the breakdown of time spent using each sites services contributes to the final number of users time spent using their websites.
One thing is for certain, since February Facebook has had a 10% uptick in the amount of time users spend on their site, reaching just over 7 hours a month. The average users on Google? 1.26 hours and on Yahoo? 2.29 hours. Google also receives an additional 1.02 hours spent on YouTube. Again, it should be noted that performing searches doesn’t take much time, but users may perform many searches in a one hour time period, lending themselves to more possible revenue for the search giant.
It will be interesting to see how the Google vs. Facebook battle ensues over the rest of 2010 with GoogleMe, the company’s new social media website expected to launch and Facebook adding more power to their location based “Places” service.
